A STYLISH & MODERN WEDDING IN THE HEART OF LONDON
This wedding, on 5th July 2024, was quintessentially ‘London,’ as Natalie put it. The couple spent a relaxed morning getting ready together at their city pad, picking up flowers for a bridal bouquet from Camden Market, and travelling by black cab to their ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall.
Natalie’s first gown, by New York based designer Jenny Yoo, was effortlessly elegant with its modern silhouette, reflecting the relaxed vibe of the day. Paul’s suit, by The Kooples, perfectly complemented Natalie’s understated luxury with a neutral colour palette that was super chic.
Before we go any further we should explain that, at the request of the couple, we are not permitted to identify the groom. Any images included within this blog have been carefully selected so as not to show his full facial features and are posted with kind permission of Natalie & Paul.
OLD MARYLEBONE TOWN HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
The couple opted for an intimate ceremony in the contemporary Knightsbridge Room at Old Marylebone Town Hall in Westminster. The building has such gravitas and grandeur, not to mention so many iconic spots for photos - definitely one of our favourite ever wedding venues.
The Knightsbridge room holds up to 30 people so it’s a great option for those who still want to keep things relatively small, whilst still being able to have their nearest and dearest present. From our first meeting with them, Natalie & Paul emphasised how important their loved ones were to their celebrations. They were less focussed on more traditional elements and wanted a day filled with authentic joy and celebration - and as a documentary wedding photographer, we understood the assignment!
After the ceremony, and a few portraits, Traditional Travel whisked everyone from the Town Hall to the reception venue at Brunswick House in one of their iconic retro red buses. Along the way we got a mini tour of London and some of its infamous sights which was super fun.
BRUNSWICK HOUSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHer
On arrival at the reception venue we were in awe! This was our first time at Brunswick House and the place is just phenomenal. The transition from OMTH to the Grade II* listed mansion was seamless, both venues perfectly complemented each other with their relaxed, chic vibes.
Inside the Georgian interior of Brunswick House lies a plethora of antique-filled rooms, each quirky and full of character - a photographer’s playground! Outside there are plenty of iconic landmarks and urban backdrops which have provided a real modern nostalgia mix to this gallery.
After some portrait, speeches and food by the renowned chef Jackson Boxer, the party really kicked off with entertainment from the incredible Fat Brass. The brief for the evening was to capture the essence of the party with some fashion-inspired direct flash shots.
Later on, Natalie changed into the most magnificent feathery party dress so we went out onto the streets of Vauxhall to capture a few fun, editorial portraits to close off the night.
We abolutely loved photographing this chic city wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall & Brunswick House. If you’d like to talk to us about being your London wedding photographer, contact us for a quick availability check here.
